News Release – April 29, 2022

March 31, 2022 @ 5:50 A.M.  – An employee of Bamco, 30 Baekeland Avenue, reported the theft of six catalytic converters, valued at $12,000.00. Officer Paul Cerreto investigated.

April 1, 2022 @ 7:32 A.M. – A resident of the Hamiltonian Apartments reported that she was harassed by a neighbor. Officer Scott Christofides investigated.

April 2, 2022 @ 8:22 P.M. – Brayan E. Gamboa, 31, of Middlesex was charged with Simple Assault following an argument that occurred in the parking lot of the Dollar Tree, 680 Union Avenue. Officer Robert Dangler investigated.

April 6, 2022 @ 11:05 A.M. – A United States Postal Service mail carrier reported that multiple mail trays were stolen from his mail truck. The mail truck was reportedly parked on Marlborough Avenue at the time of the theft. Initially investigated by Officer Scott Mulford, the investigation was later turned over to the United States Postal Inspection Service.

April 7, 2022 @ 12:28 P.M. – A resident reported that she was scammed out of $531,539.00. A male claiming to be a representative with Apple called the resident about addressing an issue with her laptop computer. The male then deceived the resident into making several wire transfers, under the guise that a hacker was attempting to access her bank accounts. Officer Scott Mulford and Detective Daniel McCue are investigating.

April 8, 2022 @ 6:53 P.M. – A resident of Stephenson Avenue reported that while he was driving on Stephenson Avenue, an individual threw an object at his vehicle, denting a door. Officer Paul Cerreto investigated.

April 9, 2022 @ 9:44 A.M. – A resident of Dunellen reported that he was robbed in the area of Warrenville Road and West Second Street. He reported that while he was on foot, two men exited a vehicle and approached him. After one of the males reportedly told him that he had a gun, he turned his wallet over to them.  Officer Scott Mulford and Detective Daniel McCue are investigating.

April 9, 2022 @ 6:03 P.M. – A 15 year old male reported that he was robbed on the 600 block of Drake Avenue. He reported that while he was standing near the roadway, a man exited a vehicle, approached him and demanded all of his property. After the juvenile turned over his wallet, the actor reentered the vehicle and fled the area. Officer Paul Cerreto and Detective Daniel McCue are investigating.

April 9, 2022 @ 11:10 P.M. – A tow truck driver reported that while he was attempting to tow a vehicle at The View Apartments, the owner of the vehicle arrived on location and physically interfered to prevent him from doing so. Officer Bryan Rodrigues investigated.

April 10, 2022 @ 3:45 A.M. – Bryan S. Morales-Remache, 25, of Bound Brook was arrested and charged with DWI following a motor vehicle stop on Lincoln Boulevard. Officer Bryan Rodrigues investigated.

April 14, 2022 @ 5:27 P.M. – A resident of Hampton Gardens reported that an unknown individual attempted to enter her locked vehicle at some point the previous evening, causing $612.35 in damage. Officer George Pilesky investigated.

April 19, 2022 @ 9:38 A.M. – An employee with the Middlesex Borough Department of Public Works reported numerous broken windows and punctured tires to a backhoe that was parked in Mountain View Park. Officer George Pilesky investigated.

As is the case with all defendants, charges are merely accusations and they are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
