June 9, 2022 @ 9:20 P.M. – A resident of South Lincoln Avenue reported that an unknown individual(s) used a rock and a brick to vandalize her pool, causing $810.00 in damage. Officer James Morley investigated and determined that a juvenile was responsible for the criminal mischief.
June 13, 2022 @ 7:35 A.M. – A resident of Edward Avenue reported that an unknown individual(s) entered her motor vehicle and removed cash. The vehicle was reportedly unlocked and unattended at the time of the theft. Officer Paul Steffanelli investigated.
June 14, 2022 @ 2:33 A.M. – Dajuan O. Hester, 29, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with Receiving Stolen Property. Through their investigation, Officer Jamie Marczak and Officer James Morley determined that Mr. Hester was in possession of an item that was stolen from a motor vehicle on Chestnut Street. He was released on his own recognizance.
June 20, 2022 @ 2:36 P.M. – The proprietor of Van-Con Inc., 195 South Avenue reported the theft of 13 catalytic converters from Chevrolet Express 4500 passenger vans that were parked in a storage lot. The total reported loss was $26,000.00. Officer Robert Dangler investigated.
As is the case with all defendants, charges are merely accusations and they are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
