May 25, 2022 @ 3:17 P.M. – An employee of Quick Chek, 107 Harris Avenue reported the theft of $40.00 worth of gasoline. Officer George Pilesky investigated.

May 28, 2022 @ 2:23 A.M. – John C. Jenkins, 20, of Middlesex was arrested and charged with DWI following a motor vehicle crash in the area of Lincoln Boulevard and Cedar Avenue. Officer Anthony Painchaud investigated.

May 28, 2022 @ 9:23 P.M. – An employee of CVS Pharmacy, 1252 Bound Brook Road reported that a male, later determined to be a juvenile, shoplifted from the business. The stolen items were recovered and the juvenile was turned over to a guardian. Officer Marc Arancio investigated.

May 31, 2022 @ 1:49 A.M. – A resident of Plainfield reported the theft of a Peterbilt 379 tractor and a Mac 48” flatbed trailer while parked on Lackland Drive. The reported loss was $135,000.00. Officer Bryan Rodrigues investigated.

May 31, 2022 @ 5:30 P.M. – A resident of Walnut Street reported that a scammer contacted her by telephone. The individual reportedly pretended to be her daughter and requested bail money. The resident quickly realized it was a fraud attempt and did not suffer any financial loss. Officer Paul Cerreto investigated.

May 31, 2022 @ 7:46 ​P.M. – A resident of Valley Brook Drive reported that he was harassed by an acquaintance. Officer Jamie Marczak investigated.

June 2, 2022 @ 4:03 P.M. – A faculty member of Watchung Elementary School reported graffiti on the roadway and on a concrete pad. Officer Scott Christofides investigated.

June 7, 2022 @ 7:49 P.M. – A resident of Marlborough Avenue reported that she was scammed out of $150.00 after making a payment to purchase baby formula through Facebook Marketplace. Officer Marc Arancio investigated.

As is the case with all defendants, charges are merely accusations and they are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
