News Release – December 2, 2022

November 4, 2022 @ 5:23 P.M. – The proprietor of Boro Hall Pharmacy, 565 Bound Brook Road reported that an individual used a stolen credit card to purchase several items, resulting in a $502.77 loss to the business. Officer Colin DeVincenzo investigated.

November 14, 2022 @ 4:03 P.M. – Luis A. Calderon-Menjivar, 41, of South Bound Brook was arrested and charged with DWI following a report of an erratic driver in the area of Bound Brook Road and Locust Avenue. Officer Jamie Marczak investigated.

November 18, 2022 @ 3:46 P.M. – A resident reported he was deceived out of $999.99 after he was convinced by an individual, posing as a Microsoft employee, to purchase a fictitious computer security system. The fraud was initiated by a pop-up advertisement on the resident’s desktop computer, instructing him to call a phone number for assistance. After doing so, the suspect persuaded the resident to fax him a check, which was then cashed. The resident realized afterward that he had been scammed. Officer Christian Dulin investigated.

November 23, 2022 @ 8:30 A.M. – The proprietor of K J Supplies, 826 Lincoln Boulevard reported the theft of 75 pallets, valued at $500.00, that occurred the previous weekend. Officer Colin DeVincenzo investigated.

November 23, 2022 @ 11:39 A.M. – Khyion X. Mayer, 28, of Piscataway was arrested and charged with two counts of Forgery. Through his investigation, Officer Paul Steffanelli determined that Mr. Mayer presented counterfeit currency to two separate local businesses. Mr. Mayer was released on his own recognizance.

November 26, 2022 @ 7:25 P.M. – An individual reported graffiti to a building in Mountain View Park. Officer Joshua Pham investigated and contacted the proper authorities to remediate the graffiti.

November 27, 2022 @ 8:52 P.M. – An employee of CVS Pharmacy, 1252 Bound Brook Road reported that two individuals used counterfeit currency while making two transactions, resulting in a loss of $346.01 to the store. Officer Marc Arancio investigated.

As is the case with all defendants, charges are merely accusations and they are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
